So you are a member of the NDP as of 11:59 pm on February 18th. You’ve decided to support PEGGY NASH in the leadership race.
Now what?
1) Cast a vote for Peggy.
Before the convention (23 - 24 March), you have two easy ways to vote for Peggy.
Our tip: the best and easiest way to cast your vote for Peggy is to do it online before convention. Even if you plan to attend the convention, vote in advance online. That way, you can experience convention freely and even lend a hand to Team Peggy on the floor.
VOTE ONLINEStarting Thursday, March 1st at 2pm EST, you can cast your vote for Peggy at http://www.leadership2012.ca You will see a link to launch the secure voting page. There, you will be asked to enter your Membership ID and PIN (which you would have received in the voting package sent by post). This online ballot is impossible to spoil – it will only allow you to enter numbers next to the name of each candidate. Follow the instructions to mark your numbers in a sequence. The online ballot includes photos in addition to candidate names, and candidates appear in randomized order to ensure voter intent and to prevent fraud. Preferential ballot online voting will close on Friday, March 23rd at 11:00 am EST. |
VOTE BY POSTVoting packages will be mailed out by the Party in two waves – the first by February 27th, the second by February 29th. These will contain your ballot and detailed instructions. Mark a “1” beside Peggy’s name on the ballot. Then, fold the ballot in half along the perforated line and place it in the security envelope provided and seal it. Then, sign the voter’s oath provided. Then, put both the sealed security envelope and the signed oath into the outer envelope provided. Seal this and pop in it the mail by March 12th. If your vote arrives to the Party after the March 19th deadline, someone will notify you to vote online instead. |
VOTE DURING CONVENTION
Starting Friday, March 23rd at 5:30pm, you can vote either in person at the convention or online at home. The voting process could go as high as six (6) ballots with the target of an hour per ballot.
2) Donate.
Make a contribution to help Peggy continue her campaign right up to the last minute.
Your donation of $25, $50, $100 – any amount you can afford – will make a huge difference as Peggy’s campaign makes the final stretch.
Peggy has what it takes to win. We need every dollar of support to help her do it.
3) Make some noise.
